On October 27, 2018, Petland Texas participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk to help spread awareness and help save lives from breast cancer.

The walk took place in the Huizenga Plaza in Fort Lauderdale, FL and had many participants—survivors, families, and friends—making strides in support of those affected by the disease and raising funds for the American Cancer Society.

The American Cancer Society works to conduct extensive research on the causes of all types of cancers as well as effective treatments for those affected. They also provide resources and up-to-date information for these people and their families, support patients by giving them a place to stay if they’re far from home, and spread expert information for prevention. The American Cancer Society is determined to free the world from cancer.

We at Petland Texas are inspired by the American Cancer Society’s determination to eliminate cancer from the world, and helped out by setting up our own fundraiser for the event. With this year’s successful walk, our team at Petland Texas is ecstatic in making strides against breast cancer again next year!
