On Saturday, November 17, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society hosted its annual Light The Night walk at Esplanade Park in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Many supporters, including Petland Texas, walked alongside survivors of leukemia and lymphoma to bring awareness and celebrate the remarkable strides in effective research and treatments.
During the event, survivors carried white lanterns and took part in a survivor ceremony in which a white beam lit up the night sky, bringing light to the darkness of cancer. Families were also able to honor and leave tributes to their loved ones at a Remembrance Pavilion.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society works hard to improve the lives of those afflicted with blood cancers such as leukemia and lymphoma and are steps closer to finding a cure.
Apart from providing a community of support, love and understanding to those with cancer, LLS raises funds towards research for effective treatments, provide accurate information and education to patients and supporters about blood cancers, and advocate for policies that remove barriers for cancer patient care.
Petland Texas set up a fundraiser to help the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society reach its goal in finding a cure and enhancing the lives of those touched by cancer. You can donate to the fundraising page here.
We at Petland are incredibly excited to continue supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and joining the fight against cancer at next year’s walk!
Please join us and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in bringing light to the darkness of cancer by making a donation. Any contribution helps save numerous lives not someday, but today.
